13 Oct 2015

Nerves are getting high as ex governors Rotimi Amaechi, Babatunde Fashola, Kayode Fayemi, will start their screening at the National Assembly today, Tuesday, October 13, 2015.

According to Vanguard, Amaechi, who's all petitions against him are in court will nor have to deal with troubles of constant increasingly series of petitions as the screening is held. Even, some youths recently demanded Amaechi's removal from the list of nominees.

Senator Samuel Anyanwu (chairman, committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petition) said it is possible for the  committee to probe him (Amaech) because all cases were ongoing and still in court. He said the senators will do nothing of the case of probe. "The senate shall not receive any petitions on any matter for which there is a judicial remedy", he disclosed on Monday.

The other associates of the committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions include Senators Omotayo Alasoadura, Omogunwa Yele, Binta Garba, Ogba Obinna, Muhammad Shitu, Bala Iba-Na' Allah, Olaka Nwogu, Jeremiah Useni, Peter Nwaoboshi and Dino Melaye.

Therefore, with itching attention, Nigerians will now observe how the screening will sift out.
