Governor Ibrahim Geidam's victory at the Yobe governorship poll has been upheld by the election petitions tribunal. The People's Democratic Party had challenged the results of the election alleging mass irregularities at the polls. However, the tribunal has affirmed the All Progressives Congress candidate, Ibrahim Geidam as the duly elected governor of Yobe state for a second term running.
